Instructions

This Chain Stay Clamp is recommended for mounting either side of all carbon fiber bike frames, some aluminum frames with flat sided chain stays and rarely on steel frames.

The chain stay clamp primarily used for mounting the BTL on right side of bikes.  However, it  will attach on either side of your bike if it has a rectangular, oval, a flat side or a strong anti-rotation feature like a cable pocket on the chain stay.   View this video link for instructions;   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SpqWPNjUo0

Includes:

  • (1) Chain-Stay Clamp
  • Instructions

The Chain-Stay Clamp Replaces the standard inner clamp to eliminate chain rubbing the inner clamp when the bike is in its highest gears. Right Side BTL mount for use on bikes with rectangular or oval chain-stays (lower rear frame member) up to 1 1/2 inches high.

For Bikes with rear suspension where the chain and seat stays move relative to each other so you must clamp just the chain stay. The Chain Stay Clamp is not  necessary for installing on either side of most single speed cruiser bikes. Also works on manual wheelchairs. If for use on a chair, email; info@biketowleash.com,  chair photo make and model before ordering. We can include extra shims for custom fits.

*This is the Chain-Stay Clamp accessory. Bike Tow Leash sold separately.

A must for different bikes.

Thanks to the seriously down-home support I received, I was able to learn I needed all 3 different clamps if I wanted to use my various seven bikes. For now, I have just used this one on my Trek cruiser. It work great. People all around my neighborhood literally stop and watch me ride with my two dogs, and wonder about what I am using on my bike. I feel like I should have a T-Shirt with Bike Tow Leash on the back so people can check it out on their own.
