Warranty and Store Policies

Warranty

We offer a 2 year warranty, against defects.  LEI will repair or replace product at our option.   LEI is not responsible for subsequent damage as a result of proper or improper use of product.  We will accept 45 day returns if returned in original packaging and in new condition. Prior to return request authorization from seller.   


To initiate your warranty, please ASAP email info@biketowleash.com the following information:
  • Where you purchased the BTL
  • Photos of installation and damage
  • Serial # (Located on the leash)
  • Your Contact Information

 

Warranty Compliance

  • Usage Instructions:
    • Avoid dragging your dog as this will cause the BTL mast to rub against the rear tire, which can damage the BTL and void the warranty. Instead, gently pull your dog out of harm’s way and allow them to rest and drink.
    • Ensure the Ebike power is off when using the Bike Tow Leash.
    • Use appropriate harnesses that allow your dog’s limbs freedom of movement and keep them beside the bike. Recommended options include harnesses that clip to the side near the dog’s shoulder or a martingale collar. Avoid "No Pull" harnesses or Towing harnesses.
    • Cargo bikes are also great bikes, but be mindful when dog-biking that Cargo bikes are powerful, and that extra weight can really pick up speed, especially downhill or with a strong rider or with one with a motor. It's easy for a dog to get overworked trying to keep up. That can lead to sore muscles or even torn paw pads, especially on longer rides. Please always keep an eye on your dog and go at their pace when riding together.
  • Complete compliance:
    • All instructions must be followed to maintain the warranty.

Store Policies 

Shipping Policy  -- For retail orders received by 4pm Eastern Standard Time, USA; we typically ship on the same business day. Currently, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday are not our business days. This may affect "Two day" delivery timelines. 


Customer Service Policy -- Feel free to contact us via email at info@BikeTowLeash.com.  Providing photos, make and model of your ride is very beneficial.  You may find attachment requirements for ordering what you need in on our Fit Chart.  The chart starts with bikes. You must scroll down for trikes, mobility scooters and chairs.  There are helpful videos on our website and www.YouTube.com/BikeTowLeash YouTube channel.  If you still have questions, please request a whatsapp video call over wi-fi, with your ride, and product. 

 

    Exchange Policy -- If for any reason there is a product defect, return it within the 2 years of purchase, the warranty period.  We will repair or replace based on the condition.  We also have a refurbishment program for out of warranty items found in our FAQs as well.
