Two Legger to a Great Pyr
Really enjoying time riding with my dog!!!

I recently began riding a Greenspeed Megnum trike (tadpole style having two wheels in the front and a single pedal driven wheel in the rear). I knew I wanted a way to connect my 125# Great Pyrenees Livestock Guardian dog to the trike to join me on outings. The Bike Tow Leash is working as well for me as I had hoped! The design principles built into this device are spot-on! It works exactly as advertised and as shown in the various videos I found on-line. My trike has a luggage rack accessory and the BTL mounted right onto the luggage rack bracketry and holds tight just fine. So enjoyable having my dog right next to me - I chat with him as we roll along and I give verbal commands prior to Stops, Left Turns, Right Turns, etc. I have found the clasp on the BTL is plenty hefty however, it's a bit small and hard for me to get my long (and probably a bit arthritic fingers) onto the "trigger" to open the clasp. As a simple work around I attached a large easy-to-operate carabiner directly to the clasp.....problem solved. In my case the BTL mounting height was at the exact right height for my size dog so no adjustment was needed. I researched every other style of bike leash that I could find (about 9 of them) and none had the features, functionality, durability or engineering sophistication that this device has. Expensive? Well, yes and no.......it's an accessory to make a toy more enjoyable. So, to me, it's in the luxury good category of spending. Love my dog, love spending time with him having his best life being stimulated and exercised and it's doing the same for me. For that it's priceless. It's not going to fail and cause harm to my dog, me or my trike. For that it's worth what I paid. I could have kept going along holding the walking leash and hoping for the best but sooner or later catastrophe is likely - the dog bolts, the walking leash goes into the spokes, tangled dog leg, thumb gets torn off, etc. I recommend this product. I am glad I bought it. I'd buy again!!

Safety first

I have had two of the two leashes for two different huskies and always felt very safe riding with this system.

A must have!

Excellent customer service! The installation instructions were a bit confusing based on the style of my bicycle, but Mike was quick to reply to my emails and even jumped on a video call to ensure the Right Side with Quick Mount attachment was fitted properly. The BTL is sturdy and keeps my 40lb dog a safe distance from the wheels. I've used other bike attachments in the past that were flimsy and made me feel like I didn't have control over the dog or the bike. The Bike Tow Leash is worth the investment!

Awesome Product

I have had this product for about 6 months now and taken my 1 year old Malinois Pyrenees mix on about 10-15 bike rides using this product. She absolutely loves it. We don't go very far with it as she is still growing and we want to protect her joints. She is young and not particularly well trained, as in - pulls hard on the leash, high prey drive, sometimes overly excited with other dogs, yet it still works exactly as intended. I have to pay attention to her and be aware of her movements, but if she starts to pull she is redirected and after a moment will continue moving with the bike. I have never had any issues with her while turning or had any trouble with her going behind the bike as another user mentioned (im not sure how she could). I am beyond thrilled to have a way for her to join me biking and she so clearly enjoys it. With her being a large, 70 lb dog I was nervous about finding a safe way to bike with her but this is just what we needed. For what its worth, I use a harness as that feels less risky to me. I would highly recommend this product to anyone and am really pleased with it.

Great, but only for very well trained dogs

Do not even think about this unless your dog is extremely well trained. If that is the case then I think this product is probably the best one out there for biking with your animal.
My Belgium Malinois has had extensive obedience training. I'm sure I could enter shows and win gold ribbon awards if i wanted to.
That being said, i had no trouble at all getting my dog acquainted with this leash. We were riding around within 5 minutes of me introducing it,
I went with the right side option as I feel this is the ONLY way to go (at least in USA.)
On one of the very first right turns we made, i guess my dog got a little nervous and decided go go around the back wheel to the left side of the bike. This of coarse caused a crash. We took right turns very slowly and wide for awhile until my dog got more accustomed.
There was a similar incident when we came upon someone walking two large dogs haphazardly on leashes. i guess my dog just feels more protected and wants to get on my left side when on my left when dealing with new possible threatening situations. We now slow down or stop when other dogs are approaching.
Today we were out for a short ride in my neighborhood when all of a sudden I could feel my dog pulling and when i looked back I saw my dog was being attacked by an unleashed pit-bull. I stopped and jumped off my bike and because my dog as wearing a Martingale style collar my dog was able to release itself from the bike leash. Nevertheless, I had to jump in and separate the two dogs. None of us were injured, but this was certainly an unpleasant experience.
Taking all this into account I would have to say DO NOT use a bike leash setup with your dog unless your dog is extremely well trained at the very least with recall and healing.
For now, I will probably continue to use this, but only with caution at ALL times.
