I love that I can now walk my dog and feel safe. My dog loves to chase deer. She has seen a few deer on our walks and tried to chase. She is immediately stopped by the leash without any disturbance to my trikes stability. My dog stays safe and so do I!

My 9 month old Shar pei mix is loving her runs! She needs a lot of exercise and a morning run with the trike is going well.
Installed it by myself and as a 68 yr old myself I would have liked one key helping fact. When attaching the bracket to the rear axel needed to make sure the bike tow leash logo with serial number was facing outbound from the axel. I had to reinstall it but now it's fine. Be cautious to tighten sufficiently , my girl takes off like a race horse and moved the bracket enough to cause it to rub the tire. Another reinstall seems to have remedied it. Only other concern is my dog Cinco is using a martingale collar for her runs .Since she is so exuberant she tightens it quite a bit. Don't want to strangle her. might try running her with a harness but then there is the concern about chaffing. Still need to take a video , where would I post it?

I live in a rural area with a lot of loose dogs. With the tow leash I am able to ride with all three dogs (two
Border Collies and an Aussie). Once three pit bulls ran out at us and all three dogs pulled like crazy. I was able to chase them off with a foghorn but the bike never even rocked. The tow leash kept us all safe. Mike recommended that I ride with all three dogs on one side. I'm not crazy about this because the outside dog tends to crowd the other two into the trike because he or she feels too far from me. I want to get another tow leash and run one dog off the other side. I couldn't be happier with this leash and the couplers that I also bought.
I haven't been on a bike in decades but my new behaviorist/trainer said my girl needs to get more than her daily 2 hour walk and recommended the bike tow leash. I bought a 'trike' thinking I'd be safer, installed the bike tow leash and O M G we had a BLAST!!! Even when she decided she was going to run after some neighbor dogs who give her grief, I was able to control the bike with minimal drift. I love this thing SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!! I tell everyone about it and am making the trike available to neighbors with dogs to try. She is finally happy, smiling and relaxed for the first time since her rescue 2 years ago. I bought the bike tow leash, with the trike adapter, the collar and the coupler to use for riding with my Great Danes. I learned the hard way that holding their leash while riding wasn’t a smart or safe idea. We crashed the first time out when my 125 lb Dane ran across the front of the bike and pulled me into the curb. Fortunately neither of us were hurt but I realized that I needed a way to get them exercise and be safe at the same time. This solution allows me to take them out in a manner that is safe for both of us and have fun. It also helps with conditioning for fastcat and showing because I can do roadwork with them on the trike. Lastly, Mike was super helpful and extremely responsive to my questions. I’m so glad that I found it!!
This is my third one. I have a trike with one on each side. My husband just got a trike and this is for his. Will be getting another. Have to save because they are pricey but worth it. A………
This is one of the best products we have ever purchased for our dog. We have a 2 year old whippet that we run in FastCAT and Lure Coursing. We are not capable of jogging and it has been an issue trying to condition our pup. The Bike Tow Leash adapted for our Lectric XP Trike is the perfect solution! The dog stays safe and we can now give him consistent exercise. The company was easy to work with in customizing the trike adapter for the Lectric XP Trike as it is brand new on the market. We’ve passed other dogs and my dog looks at them but the BTL kept him on track. He has seen cats and squirrels that he has attempted to chase but again the BLT kept him on track!! Thank you for making this excellent and useful product!!
I havnt learned yet how to handle my dogs reactivity, but my dogs still need to get out of the house, before getting the BTL i barely made it around the corner, needless to say they didnt get an outing they crave, since ive gotten the BTL we have gone up too two miles, were learning together, i have extreme anxiety, that could be part of the reason of my dogs reactivity, again what ever the case is they still crave to go on a hike, outing run etc...the BTL is an odd looking thing, but boy can it make our outings possible, were getting better at our outings each time we use it, i played music on my phone and sang with the music, that seemed to help me relax quite a bit, even my dog seemed more calmer, i was even so calm that the dogs who were barking as we passed by got a be-u-till-full hi from us and they seemed to give back a virtual high five, i was so proud of my self on our ride that i can actually have my dog out on a two mile run, and my dog is much more relaxed when we get back. the BTL has me feeling like a kid again even though im 60, im also 250 lbs and quite out of shape, so having the BTL is heloing not just the dogs but me as well, i have two large dogs and two small dogs, i take a small dog in the basket which a small crate fits inside of the basket, and the large dog is on the BTL, i make the trip two times at least, every morning when i get up i feel the weight of my body and think oh you cant do it, but then i look at the dogs and say you have too, you better do it, they need it so much, then when were all ready to go i am so happy we are out, it feels exhilirating to knowdogs are leaving our nest
After installing leash tow I wasn’t sure if my Australian Shepard would resist given her nose sniffing habits & myself with “balance” issues. Soo, on our trike has been a wonderful combination of safe travel!!!
I recently got the regular BTL and quick mount adapter for my mom so it was easier for her to walk our mini labradoodle (27lbs) on her bike while I just held the leash of our 90 lb goldendoodle while riding my trike. We’d only done this for about a week before realizing I should really get the BTL and trike adapter for myself as well!
Putting on the adapter was fairly easy (I didn’t lay the bike on its side and remove the wheel as shown so it took me some extra time to tighten everything down, but still not hard). I did feel the bolts that come with the BTL were a tad short to fit over the adapter but they are NOT. I’m just lazy and wanted to get longer bolts so it’d be quicker for me to slide the arm on and off the adapter and Mike was super quick in responding to my question of which gauge bolt was used.
Used it for the first time this morning and it worked great! So glad something like this exists and makes biking with your dogs safe, both for you and them
My husband and I have Sun recumbent Trikes and the adapter that Mike made to fit them works great. I have a very high drive Labrador puppy who is about 9 months old now.
He still reacts frequently to dogs, people and critters and the tow behind leash with the adapter have stood up well to his lunges. I am very impressed with the engineering. We bought 2 adapters so we could switch the leash between our bikes, it goes on and off really easily. Teddy adapted to the leash quiet easily and it has saved my shoulder a lot of stress and strain. I recommend this product whole heartedly !

It works as well as I'd hoped it would. My pup is 96 lbs and I feel like I really have control, which is a great relief.

So far it seems to be holding up to my dog’s incredible pulls when he sights another dog . Working on that behavior !
