Product is great, install instructions could be better.

Love that this is made in the USA however, it’s definitely not worth the $240+ that I spent. On top of the extra money I had to spend to modify the rear axle of my bike so the leash would actually be able to attach.

We tried a couple other bike leashes before we bought this one. There is no comparison, the bike tow leash is super safe, really well made and our dog learned instantly how to walk/run on it.

The dog and I are thoroughly enjoying the Bike Tow Leash. I bought this for my trike, my husband installed it and my 8 month old Golden is loving it. He has so much energy, our walks could never be enough for him and he doesn't retrieve so a bike ride is the only way to get his energy out. He's also the most powerful dog I've ever had and very boisterous. The BTL keeps him completely in check. He has training but since he's technically still a puppy, the BTL is very good added security if he gets distracted.

This product works! I am so happy that I purchased it. I highly recommend it.

I had this in my cart for weeks contemplating wether I purchase or not. I finally bit the bullet and wished I bought sooner. My border collie absolute loves this, he is now able to run as fast as he likes and he safe and so am I. I highly recommend this product.

So pleased with the bike tow leash. Both of my dogs were comfortable using it the first time I tried. Looking forward to our adventures in new places safely.

This is the best bike leash ever! I needed something that would hold up to my 5y/o German Shepherd (98lbs) while trying to exercise him and enjoy our great Alaskan Trails (Hatcher Pass-Palmer). Even in 15 degree weather and riding across ice/flowing creeks. Mounted it on a TREK Farley FatBike w/rack and saddle bags. With no issues. Its’ design is well thought out, strong and simple! It’s very adaptable for all seasons, dogs, bikes and situations. Also the customer service is great! Looking forward to ride out the Glacier!

At first I hesitated whether to order Bike Tow Leash because the postage to Europe is quite expensive. But it was worth the price. The BTL team was very kind and responsive. I feel safe on my bike. I'm not afraid that the dog would pull me to fall off the bike. I think this is one of the safest products on the market, which allows a comfortable ride with your dog.

I absolutely love the bike tow leash. I have three dogs Labrador, Doberman, and Dalmatian and they love going for a bike ride. Best way to drain all of my dogs energy. Every time they see me go for my bike the wait right next to the gate. They picked it up so fast best purchase I ever made I wish I ordered it sooner.

I have a 14 month old Golden Doodle who has tons of energy. He picked it up right away. It’s so easy to feel how your dog is doing, if he wants to run faster or slowdown. He figured out the turns liked he’d been doing this for years! :-)
The Bike Tow Leash has been the best purchase for our dog. Happy dog, tired dog!

I love this thing! My rambunctious dog (45 lb Wirehaired Pointing Griffon) that is prone to lunging and pulling runs along in perfect stride. Doesn't yank me around, my dog took to it pretty much instantly! I took away a star because I've had trouble getting it to stay in place and not shift, which says more about me than the actual BTL. I found the instructions sort of tricky for a right side mount. Cars slow down to watch us whiz by and ask about it. What a fantastic way to drain my dog's energy and have a super fun and safe time doing it :)

Just tried it out with nice weather outside. Worked great with golden retriever.

The simple act of dog working, not so simple when wheelchair bound. No more is that the case. So glad i found this product and now i can independently walk my own dog!

I use this on the right side of my E-bike since my dog likes to be close to the grass off the road.
Only took 15 minutes for him to get used to it. He is an extremely active dog and this really does the trick to get him adequate exercise.
Customer service was extremely helpful in advising me on proper clamp to use.

Great materials and craftsmanship, best all-around dog/bike leash on the market. I had a little difficulty figuring out the right combination for my bike but think I got it. Nothing wrong with design; it's difficult to try and design something universal for so many different bikes, generations and iterations of. Took me a couple times of installing and removing to figure out best method. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get one.

It’s hard to imagine how something so seemingly simple can work so well, but it just does. It gives my dog just the right amount of freedom to move around and safely navigate obstacles on the trail while still keeping her away from the bike and harm. And no matter what she does, it doesn’t affect my balance on the bike whatsoever. It works almost like reigns on a horse in practice, too. My actions on the bike nudge her one way or another, telling her where to go and allowing her to run in harmony with me. It’s a wonderful tool that allows me to spend quality time with my dog and allow her to do what she loves safely. Worth every penny!

I've tried several such devices, with bad to mixed results.

The bike tow leash is by far the best: easiest to mount on the bike, solid attachement, most comfortable for the dog; it gives some leeway to the dog, but not enough to have the animal get too close to the wheel. Really great product.
Only problem: shipping costs for Canada are prohibitive, shame they don't have a distributor in Canada.

The bike tow leash is great way to exercise my malamute husky cross dog. The design is so stable that I do not fall off, even when he pulls hard towards another dog or person. His pulling has caused me to come to a sudden stop a few times, but once I get his attention, we are able to quickly resume our ride. I am very pleased with this purchase.

It is Great!!!

We wanted the Complete Package so that our dog would run on the right side of the road and our bike would be between passing cars and our dog. We had a few questions during our assembly, and customer service was phenomenal. It's nice to know that company's still answer the phone and want to help you be successful with their products!

Bird (my standard poodle) and I love our new leash. She took to it right away and we’ve not missed a day of use sense it’s arrival. The Bike Tow Leash is a fantastic product that keeps us both safely moving along.

Haven't used the quick mount and chain stay yet -- the left-hand side mount has been sufficient.

Is it worth the price? I asked myself before I ordered the bike tow leash. It is absolutely with the price. I've used mine daily to exercise my exuberant young American Foxhound. We ride between 2 an 10 miles each day and this leash allows us to do that very safely.

Installing the leash was easy and fast. The product is well-designed with an safe distance between the bike and the dog. I attach the bike tow leash to the top of my dog's harness, which is his shoulder height. I practiced with using the leash by walking my bike with my dog harnessed to the leash, using treats to praised him for following along. He's a strong 85 pound dog and I have to be vigilant with seeing other dogs, squirrels, etc so that he doesn't become overly tempted to pull in that direction. The product seems well-made and hopefully will permit us to enjoy better exercise together.

Came down to a choice between this and the springer. Chose this because it attaches to the rear axle which seems from an engineering point of view a sensible solution. Lower point of leverage on the bike. It looks better and is made in the USA plus the great reviews all helped. Been using it for a week now and my one year old puppy (Portuguese Water Dog) loves it.
